Tupuri's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximo Cantolla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Txindoki Cao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Montel Villamor might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zoilo Heraña. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maximo Cantolla helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th match minute, Tupuri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Cantolla to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute, Gasteiz Vidanes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute of the match Mannie Escabi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Txindoki Cao showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 98 played minutes Tupuri got a freekick which was hit by Jenaro Pino. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tupuri had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
