Magdaleno Valera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xulian Barbaza having to interfere. With his leg Xulian Barbaza managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Manirote's Magdaleno Valera fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Xacintu Mondragon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute, Cerilo Acacia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute, Rosendo Taviel sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Iguesito FC's Xulian Barbaza didn't even have to move. In the 36th minute Magdaleno Valera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xulian Barbaza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chayo Iban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vachon Leizaur, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Magdaleno Valera to make the kick off. Duarte Clusella's late challenge caught a Iguesito FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duarte Clusella helped the player get up and apologised. After 51 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Manirote! 64 minutes into the match, Magdaleno Valera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xulian Barbaza. Iguesito FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Magdaleno Valera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. When Vachon Leizaur came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Iguesito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vachon Leizaur couldn't finish the play. 72 minutes into the match, Manirote's goal looked a bit too open when Eutor Arrese came free, but Chayo Iban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manirote's Magdaleno Valera got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Magdaleno Valera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Xulian Barbaza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xacintu Mondragon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manirote's Chayo Iban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eutor Arrese in the 84th minute of play. Xulian Barbaza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magdaleno Valera in the 86th minute of play. Xalbador Celis hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Xacintu Mondragon put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Xulian Barbaza. With his leg Chayo Iban managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when Iguesito FC's Vachon Leizaur fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Xacintu Mondragon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Xacintu Mondragon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xulian Barbaza was relentless in the 99th minute of the game. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
