Heriberto Naves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silbestre Almenester in the 17th minute of the match. Guillem Pedroza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zenon Barboa in the 18th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Rafael Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heriberto Naves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guillem Pedroza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pacorro Broz in the 30th minute. Guillem Pedroza was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ebardo Bruna showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 35 minute of play. Rafael Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heriberto Naves having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ebardo Bruna was the one to do the kick off. Silbestre Almenester struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Heriberto Naves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cabimas F.C. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silbestre Almenester in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Heriberto Naves saved Obispo FC from getting behind. When the referee blew the final whistle, Obispo FC could leave the field as winners, despite Cabimas F.C having more of the ball for most of the match.
