In the 18th minute Caracakingo Nevares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodney Rayon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Empedrado FC's Naelio Barril got a free kick in the 20th minute. A collision led to Macoruca getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ruperto Sever hit a great ball. In the 35th minute Hermon Chacin managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. After a rather tough play, Empedrado FC's Naelio Barril got a free kick in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Macoruca's Oinatz Losada got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Empedrado FC booed when Macoruca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Sola didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute, Oinatz Losada got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Musko Torrez might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodney Rayon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Musko Torrez ran back to his position shaking his head. Musko Torrez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Musko Torrez got free with Rodney Rayon in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 73 minutes into the match, Empedrado FC's goalkeeper Rodney Rayon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Musko Torrez. 74 minutes into the match, Macoruca's goal looked a bit too open when Dabi Lozano came free, but Cris Salgueiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dabi Lozano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cris Salgueiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Xavian Ceitegui made a precise shot to the right of Cris Salgueiro. Macoruca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 95th minute, Dabi Lozano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Empedrado FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Macoruca for a fine match.
