After a defensive mix-up in Alegria's zone, Juaneizu Ageitos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roegelio Ariño came out of the goal and Juaneizu Ageitos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eudoxio Barsi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Roegelio Ariño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juaneizu Ageitos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 played minutes, Alegria's Manuelo Navaes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pancho Rino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Alegria reached it. Pancho Rino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ongile Bodon, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eudoxio Barsi in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roegelio Ariño saved Alegria from getting behind. When Pietro Pizaño came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Alegria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pietro Pizaño couldn't finish the play. Eudoxio Barsi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th match minute, Guaripa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nardo Mendizabal to maneuver through the defense. Theodore Cardillo lost his temper 48 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pietro Pizaño was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 93 minutes, Juaneizu Ageitos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaripa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juaneizu Ageitos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pietro Pizaño received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pancho Rino came out and tried to block the shot, but Pietro Pizaño slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 96th minute.
