An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Erasto Erce got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Alvaro Paya didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Melquiades Macias went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Melquiades Macias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Alvaro Paya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Pepito Lastras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Paya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maju Iribe's late challenge caught a Canaima FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maju Iribe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th minute, Rami Lastras made a precise shot to the right of Atarrabi Brugos. Uquirito FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Rami Lastras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atarrabi Brugos having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Rami Lastras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canaima FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rami Lastras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atarrabi Brugos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Uquirito FC were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erasto Erce was the one to do the kick off. Alvaro Paya stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Melquiades Macias's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Eleazar Muela kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Erasto Erce struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. When Erasto Erce came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Canaima FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erasto Erce couldn't finish the play.
