After a defensive mix-up in Rebenque's zone, Gil Ocerin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Cifuentes came out of the goal and Gil Ocerin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 10 minutes, Bernaldo Nuñez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rebenque and the Churuguarita players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gil Ocerin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Cifuentes having to interfere. Cristian Garzona hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Mannie Bolado, 22 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Martino Megid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernaldo Nuñez in the 24th minute of the match. The supporters of Rebenque booed when Churuguarita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristobal Vegal didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernaldo Nuñez in the 27th minute of play forced Churuguarita's goalkeeper Martino Megid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gil Ocerin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Fernando Cifuentes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pinto Albizu scored 1-0 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Cifuentes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rebenque's Buinton Caldera got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martino Megid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernaldo Nuñez, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Gil Ocerin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Cifuentes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play.

Rebenque's Buinton Caldera pulled a muscle in his leg after 52 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Otsando Llata fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Churuguarita's protests and gave Otsando Llata a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, one of Churuguarita:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Churuguarita. Martino Megid had in the 56thth minute some difficulties stopping Mannie Bolado's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The excitement rose when Rebenque's Mannie Bolado after 56 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Churuguarita's goalkeeper to hold. Fernando Cifuentes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rebenque players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Churuguarita.
