Despite this Ignazio Gabi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

53 minutes into the game, Lucio Trigueros recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Erroman Barrasa. Lucio Trigueros showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Ignazio Gabi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristofor Alcazar in the 59th minute of play. Jorrin Martijana ran back to his position shaking his head. Paulino Masferrer's late challenge caught a Egipto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulino Masferrer helped the player get up and apologised. 93 minutes into the match, Egipto's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Trigueros came free, but Erroman Barrasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Egipto's Donato Penagos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Donato Penagos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Egipto protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Donato Penagos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 94th minute, one of Egipto:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Egipto. In the 97th minute there was a penalty for Sombrereta. Bernardo Boher stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Erroman Barrasa. 1-3. Sombrereta's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
