In the 19th minute, Catalan FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Helder Leciana fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 20 played minutes Catalan FC got a freekick which was hit by Mogel Vascones. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Estavan Amezua managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jimenez FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Estavan Amezua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Poz Montesinos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hats Ferrer hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, Estavan Amezua had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Poz Montesinos. Catalan FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Estavan Amezua was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 35th minute, Cresconio Villabona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Catalan FC's Cresconio Villabona got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cresconio Villabona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Estavan Amezua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Poz Montesinos having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santos Alda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Helder Leciana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Poz Montesinos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Helder Leciana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santos Alda in the 60th minute of play forced Jimenez FC's goalkeeper Eutor Megia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jimenez FC's zone, Cresconio Villabona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eutor Megia came out of the goal and Cresconio Villabona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cresconio Villabona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santos Alda in the 66th minute of play forced Jimenez FC's goalkeeper Eutor Megia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santos Alda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eutor Megia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Eutor Megia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santos Alda in the 69th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Catalan FC defense, Estavan Amezua kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Poz Montesinos. The Catalan FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Poz Montesinos should have stopped the shot. Estavan Amezua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Helder Leciana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jimenez FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Helder Leciana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Poz Montesinos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Santos Alda put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Eutor Megia. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Catalan FC's goalkeeper Poz Montesinos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Helder Leciana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Poz Montesinos was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game.
