Paulin Feyto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artizar Tio in the 16th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Baristo Muga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Luke Negro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guaranaro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luke Negro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonardo Berges breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute, Dimas Tejerina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guaranaro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. With a little luck, Guaranaro FC's Paulin Feyto got control of the ball when Mateus Coracera tried to sneak it across the goal line. Artizar Tio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Guaranaro FC booed when Matadero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Americo Axeitos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonardo Berges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luke Negro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Artizar Tio to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Guaranaro FC's Luke Negro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Leonardo Berges. That made the score 1-2 after 65 minutes of play. Matadero FC's Leonardo Berges proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Matadero FC from getting a goal against them. In the 81st minute, Dimas Tejerina made a precise shot to the right of Leonardo Berges. Matadero FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After a rather tough play, Guaranaro FC's Cruz Quindos got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute Artizar Tio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulin Feyto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Guaranaro FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
