In the 16th minute, Timeteo Tavera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Changai's Timeteo Tavera got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tonio Mostaza kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. A hard and well directed shot from Toli Tojedo led 28 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Changai's Marco Sopeña became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 2-0. Renaldo Confercin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Terrilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pelicano FC's zone, Timeteo Tavera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renaldo Confercin came out of the goal and Timeteo Tavera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th match minute, Changai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tonio Mostaza to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Pelicano FC defense, Timeteo Tavera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Renaldo Confercin. The Pelicano FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Renaldo Confercin should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Timeteo Tavera made a kick off. If Gaueko Bolante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edwardo Revenga in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Sopeña saved Changai from getting behind. If Edwardo Revenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 60 minutes, Edwardo Revenga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pelicano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edwardo Revenga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Herminio Terrilla fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Changai's protests and gave Herminio Terrilla a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes Changai got a freekick which was hit by Herminio Terrilla. After a defensive mix-up in Changai's zone, Gaueko Bolante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Sopeña came out of the goal and Gaueko Bolante tried to chip the ball over his head. Pelicano FC's Jabier Mendoza got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Changai's Timeteo Tavera got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Tonio Mostaza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Renaldo Confercin, 3-2. Timeteo Tavera was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 90th minute. Changai's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Pelicano FC's Renaldo Confercin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timeteo Tavera in the 91st minute of play. Timeteo Tavera struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Renaldo Confercin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Changai. After a defensive mix-up in Pelicano FC's zone, Timeteo Tavera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renaldo Confercin came out of the goal and Timeteo Tavera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pelicano FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
