After a defensive mix-up in Guariquena's zone, Aitor Baltanas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evarado Hesles came out of the goal and Aitor Baltanas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aitor Baltanas in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evarado Hesles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Opilano Junquera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jaunzuria Cerezo went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Jaunzuria Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Guariquena fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! After 31 played minutes, Guariquena's Markel Aguiriano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Opilano Junquera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guariquena reached it. Matia Urquiola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Jaunzuria Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute Matia Urquiola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Opilano Junquera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aitor Baltanas to make the kick off. If Lluterio Artadi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lopez Gonzales's late challenge caught a Bariquizal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lopez Gonzales helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Guariquena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lopez Gonzales to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, Lluterio Artadi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matia Urquiola who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Opilano Junquera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bariquizal FC's Marciano Erran suffered a concussion in the 65th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Lopez Gonzales got his second yellow card in the match during the 65th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 67 played minutes Guariquena got a freekick which was hit by Lopez Gonzales. If Lluterio Artadi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Matia Urquiola struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Opilano Junquera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guariquena. In the 80th minute, Sedeni Zaldain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lluterio Artadi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evarado Hesles having to make a save. Lluterio Artadi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evarado Hesles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Lluterio Artadi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Bariquizal FC booed when Guariquena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Heraña didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Guariquena's Michael Laspron got a free kick in the 94th minute.
