Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) Algarrobote's Eriberto Neira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Belasko Sojo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Graterol's zone, Rutenio Dean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Villapecellin came out of the goal and Rutenio Dean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Rutenio Dean came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Algarrobote fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rutenio Dean couldn't finish the play. In the 11th match minute, Graterol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Tariego to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Algarrobote booed when Graterol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Quemada didn't get a good kick on the ball. Endira Aramburu kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute Gurutz Duro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Froilan Calera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Belasko Sojo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Froilan Calera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belasko Sojo in the 30th minute of play. Eduardo Villapecellin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eriberto Neira went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Rutenio Dean's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Eduardo Villapecellin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rutenio Dean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eriz Carana to strike the kick off in the second half. Eriberto Neira scored 2-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduardo Villapecellin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bernal Andujar's late challenge caught a Graterol's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernal Andujar helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Algarrobote's Bernal Andujar got a free kick in the 61st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Eriz Carana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Graterol's supporters rose to their feet, but Eriz Carana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Froilan Calera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute, Ernesto Quijano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vincent Rescuro hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 75 minutes in the game, Belasko Sojo dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. If Eriz Carana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Belasko Sojo might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Froilan Calera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Belasko Sojo ran back to his position shaking his head. Belasko Sojo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Froilan Calera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Algarrobote's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
