A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, Pepe Ferreiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lixandro Bastida. Escobalito FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pepe Ferreiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Escobalito FC's Bela Ameyugo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 17th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Escobalito FC's goalie and right to Nicolao Villoldo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Escobalito FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Tiago Sobrido's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dagoberto Zarate read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Cresitobalo Oyardo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A collision led to Guarapoturo FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Idacio Basabe hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cresitobalo Oyardo in the 44th minute of play forced Guarapoturo FC's goalkeeper Dagoberto Zarate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guarapoturo FC's Mazuste Larrave got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pepe Ferreiro was the one to do the kick off. Cresitobalo Oyardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dagoberto Zarate having to interfere. Cresitobalo Oyardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lixandro Bastida made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Mazuste Larrave sent off a good shot on target. Pepe Ferreiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lixandro Bastida having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Guarapoturo FC's Pepe Ferreiro got a free kick in the 80th minute. It was a well-played corner which Bartolo Villavicencio managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Mazuste Larrave blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lixandro Bastida having to make a save. Hechter Albar took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dagoberto Zarate. Dagoberto Zarate dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Escobalito FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
