Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 25th minute, Ekain Trilla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chimborazo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Guipuzkoa Pradias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Cespedes having to interfere. Ipar Bravain hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Machuruca FC's Atilano Salabaste shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 36th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Unai Castañera but with some difficulty. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Guipuzkoa Pradias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chimborazo's supporters rose to their feet, but Guipuzkoa Pradias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mariano Cespedes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaitan Lamarta might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mariano Cespedes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaitan Lamarta ran back to his position shaking his head. After taking down the ball on Machuruca FC's corner Atilano Salabaste fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Unai Castañera quite easily take care of the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guipuzkoa Pradias made a kick off. If Guipuzkoa Pradias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Guipuzkoa Pradias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Machuruca FC's Hernando Jordana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Unai Castañera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hernando Jordana struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Unai Castañera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Machuruca FC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Birila Lodero during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chimborazo! Hernando Jordana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Machuruca FC booed when Chimborazo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rai Castañondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaitan Lamarta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Mariano Cespedes made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Machuruca FC's Izotz Gordejuela got a free kick in the 86th minute. A hard shot 90 in the game by Gaitan Lamarta from a close distance when the talented Mariano Cespedes managed to make a qualified save. Machuruca FC's players were relieved. Horacio Bellogin's late challenge caught a Machuruca FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horacio Bellogin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd match minute, Chimborazo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Bellogin to maneuver through the defense. When Hernando Jordana came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Machuruca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernando Jordana couldn't finish the play. Izotz Gordejuela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Unai Castañera having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
