The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 10 minutes, Marquez Cean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Filial Vinotinto and the Amunor FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Amunor FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Benino Barbadillo hit a great ball. Lucado Zaballos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ponce Saucedo came free with the goalkeeper in the 19th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Romelio Rayon could save by the left post. If Lucado Zaballos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Selatse Bobe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Filial Vinotinto's Alberto Sedeño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucado Zaballos in the 35th minute of play. If Lucado Zaballos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hats Gorostiza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Alberto Sedeño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hats Gorostiza made a kick off. Roque Mirabel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romelio Rayon having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Filial Vinotinto's zone, Hats Gorostiza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Sedeño came out of the goal and Hats Gorostiza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roque Mirabel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Romelio Rayon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Amunor FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roque Mirabel came free, but Romelio Rayon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hats Gorostiza in the 74th minute of play forced Filial Vinotinto's goalkeeper Alberto Sedeño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ponce Saucedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Amunor FC's Lucado Zaballos got a free kick in the 85th minute. If Hats Gorostiza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lucado Zaballos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Sedeño having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucado Zaballos got free with Alberto Sedeño in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Filial Vinotinto's Alberto Sedeño got control of the ball when Lucado Zaballos tried to sneak it across the goal line.
