After 42 played minutes Capiu got a freekick which was hit by Virila Zuaza. The supporters of Capiu booed when Cardonalito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaen Manterola didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jaen Manterola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cardonalito FC's Jaen Manterola got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Alberto Prados who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Xaven Encinas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 59 minutes, Theodore Lomelin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capiu and the Cardonalito FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
