Saturnin Cabañero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruy Ballina, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Cojedes's zone, Cesar Huergo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Manes came out of the goal and Cesar Huergo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Atlético Cojedes getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Cosme Linares hit a great ball. Sabino Aniel hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After 19 played minutes, Otopun FC's Petrigai Maeztu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Enrique Manes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Otopun FC reached it. In the 21st minute, Lore Riopedre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 23 minutes, Emil Zarkov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Cojedes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emil Zarkov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a left leg Saturnin Cabañero saved Otopun FC from getting behind. When Emil Zarkov came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Atlético Cojedes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emil Zarkov couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Otopun FC's zone, Emil Zarkov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saturnin Cabañero came out of the goal and Emil Zarkov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Saturnin Cabañero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Zarkov in the 46th minute of play. After having played for 47 minutes, Luix Morana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Cojedes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luix Morana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Emil Zarkov made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emil Zarkov in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Saturnin Cabañero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Otopun FC's zone, Emil Zarkov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saturnin Cabañero came out of the goal and Emil Zarkov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the match, Otopun FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ruy Ballina came free, but Saturnin Cabañero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Otopun FC's Petrigai Maeztu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 69th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Enrique Manes but with some difficulty. After 71 minutes of play, Atlético Cojedes's Ruy Ballina made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Saturnin Cabañero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Otopun FC's Saturnin Cabañero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Zarkov in the 75th minute of play. Xacobo Conchas kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Emil Zarkov took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Saturnin Cabañero. Saturnin Cabañero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. After having played for 95 minutes, Emil Zarkov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Cojedes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emil Zarkov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Atlético Cojedes walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
