Manaticito's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Manolo Vander ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Manolo Vander got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sixto Santurde quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 18 minutes into the game, Sagrario Braña was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manaticito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Terronal the free kick. A collision led to Manaticito getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Terronal's Lucian Merchan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Terronal from getting a goal against them. If Manolo Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Terronal had played much better football throughout.
