Piojo FC's Deunoro Avienzo got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Piojo FC's Baleren Hita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Montel Combarros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deunoro Avienzo in the 36th minute of play forced Grimaldi's goalkeeper Montel Combarros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pau Diana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Mugica having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Deunoro Avienzo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Montel Combarros, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deunoro Avienzo in the 42nd minute of play forced Grimaldi's goalkeeper Montel Combarros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deunoro Avienzo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Deunoro Avienzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Montel Combarros having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Deunoro Avienzo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Intxixu Zuriarrain charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Intxixu Zuriarrain the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Grimaldi! If Baleren Hita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee ignored Grimaldi's protests and gave Rudolfo Alicea a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th minute, Rudolfo Alicea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baleren Hita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Montel Combarros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 98 minutes, Pau Diana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grimaldi and the Piojo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pau Diana hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Piojo FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
