Julian Capon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. If Veremundo Lugo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. Lehoi Espelz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Estebe Peñas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Estebe Peñas in the 48th minute of play forced Mereycito's goalkeeper Lehoi Espelz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Lehoi Espelz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mereycito's Saul Galvez got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lehoi Espelz was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Silverio Garavito capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Silverio Garavito really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. After 89 minutes of play, Mereycito's Veremundo Lugo made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julian Capon was left in no man's land by his defense there!
