Aresti Somavilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Crujeiras in the 3rd minute of play. Silvestre Crujeiras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Yberia FC's zone, Silvestre Crujeiras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aresti Somavilla came out of the goal and Silvestre Crujeiras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Marigua FC's Vimaro Belarrinaga got a free kick in the 8th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Marigua FC's zone, Denis Abaurre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geofredo Norzagaray came out of the goal and Denis Abaurre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vimaro Belarrinaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aresti Somavilla having to interfere. Marigua FC's Geofredo Norzagaray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Abaurre in the 24th minute of play. Denis Abaurre struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Geofredo Norzagaray didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yberia FC. In the 35th minute, Vimaro Belarrinaga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marigua FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Gelmiro Trespalacios hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Marigua FC's Alonzo Roelas got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oliveiro Brena struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. The tension between the Yberia FC and the Marigua FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Marigua FC booed when Yberia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oto Llamosas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urti Hondon kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Oliveiro Brena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geofredo Norzagaray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Denis Abaurre put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Geofredo Norzagaray. Silvestre Crujeiras could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Aresti Somavilla made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Abaurre in the 92nd minute of play forced Marigua FC's goalkeeper Geofredo Norzagaray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Marigua FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Marigua FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
