Alvaro Balmori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Palban Corniero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the game, Ilixo Ballesteros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Umbruso Matuta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Ilixo Ballesteros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Verdum's Ellande Paya got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st match minute, Guanapa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartolo Caravajal to maneuver through the defense. Ilixo Ballesteros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Umbruso Matuta made a huge save. Ilixo Ballesteros might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Umbruso Matuta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ilixo Ballesteros ran back to his position shaking his head. Ilixo Ballesteros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Umbruso Matuta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Ellande Paya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Umbruso Matuta having to interfere. Argenis Aranguren struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Alvaro Balmori didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guanapa. 35 minutes into the match, Guanapa's goalkeeper Umbruso Matuta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ilixo Ballesteros. After a rather tough play, Guanapa's Rioja Valls got a free kick in the 45th minute. Argenis Aranguren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Palban Corniero made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Palban Corniero in the 55th minute of play forced Verdum's goalkeeper Alvaro Balmori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Palban Corniero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvaro Balmori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Palban Corniero, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Verdum:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Guanapa:s goal. Clis Buey kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Argenis Aranguren's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 97thth minute, Alvaro Balmori skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Guanapa's Eleder Hurones got a free kick in the 99th minute. In the 100th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guanapa's goalkeeper Umbruso Matuta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, Verdum could leave the field as winners, despite Guanapa having more of the ball for most of the match.
