To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cebrian Arregui came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Carioca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cebrian Arregui couldn't finish the play. Clodio Sisquella charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clodio Sisquella the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Clodio Sisquella hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Tomi Campos was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 21st minute. Marzola FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, Marzola FC's Maximo Campano got a free kick in the 32nd minute. The audience was convinced that Cebrian Arregui's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fliz Respaldizar was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodosio Portochao in the 54th minute of play forced Carioca FC's goalkeeper Panfilo Recio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xoan Rosser's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Panfilo Recio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. If Cebrian Arregui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Tome Munet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute, Cebrian Arregui reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fliz Respaldizar. The goal made the score 0-2. Fliz Respaldizar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cebrian Arregui in the 83rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Cebrian Arregui's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fliz Respaldizar was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Carioca FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
