Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cebrian Arregui in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Salvador Amandi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Maura Ares kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Ermengol Isazi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermengol Isazi in the 30th minute of play forced Sabarigua's goalkeeper Salvador Amandi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st match minute, Sabarigua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maura Ares to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Sabarigua's goal looked a bit too open when Ermengol Isazi came free, but Salvador Amandi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in Chaime Maderos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Carioca FC's Panfilo Recio did a great save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cebrian Arregui was the one to do the kick off. When Gau Churruca came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Sabarigua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gau Churruca couldn't finish the play. Lucian Rendon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute.
