When Sergi Solier came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Monterrey FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergi Solier couldn't finish the play. With his leg Vachon Abeita managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Carangano FC's Prejun Placiencia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 35th match minute, Carangano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nataniel Verdeja to maneuver through the defense. Xose Huemen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Silvestri having to interfere. Sergi Solier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sergi Solier struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Ignacio Silvestri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monterrey FC. In the 46th minute, Xose Huemen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sergi Solier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ignacio Silvestri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 49th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Ignacio Silvestri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergi Solier's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Ignacio Silvestri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xose Huemen in the 78th minute. If Xose Huemen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Monterrey FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Carangano FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
