With a little luck, Venezuela's Luis-Antonio Miña got control of the ball when Rameriz Ahelle tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Odon Buison during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 13 minutes into the match, Legionarios FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Ribeiro came free, but España Valdivieso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulin Basco in the 18th minute of play forced Legionarios FC's goalkeeper España Valdivieso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis-Antonio Miña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavino Dineros, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. España Valdivieso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulin Basco in the 25th minute of play. Luis-Antonio Miña made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rameriz Ahelle in the 40th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulin Basco in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg España Valdivieso saved Legionarios FC from getting behind. 43 minutes into the game, Horacio Senqui recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luis-Antonio Miña. Horacio Senqui showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0.

Paulin Basco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Legionarios FC's zone, Paulin Basco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. España Valdivieso came out of the goal and Paulin Basco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Gavino Dineros came free, but Luis-Antonio Miña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Etor Valino came free, but Luis-Antonio Miña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gavino Dineros scored 5-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luis-Antonio Miña, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luis-Antonio Miña didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rameriz Ahelle went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Venezuela's Luis-Antonio Miña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rameriz Ahelle in the 93rd minute of play. Eladio Alamea charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eladio Alamea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th minute, Ismael Ribeiro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Legionarios FC's España Valdivieso didn't even have to move. Legionarios FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
