Cantave's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guasduas FC the free kick. In the 6th match minute, Cantave was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belmiro Güerga to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Guasduas FC's Teo Hervias tried to score from far away in the 7th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Guasduas FC's Janpier Cigaran in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cantave's goalie prevented a goal. When Janpier Cigaran came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Guasduas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Janpier Cigaran couldn't finish the play. Teodor Zurica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Janpier Cigaran, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Guasduas FC's Xabier Barral suffered a sore thigh after 14 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 14 minutes into the game, Savier Porras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cantave's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guasduas FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cantave's Savier Porras got a free kick in the 15th minute. After 16 minutes of play, Guasduas FC's Joaquin Genova made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodor Zurica was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bautista Agulla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Teodor Zurica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Regis Coronado took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Froylan Erce to make any attempt to save it. Rafe Ita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodor Zurica having to interfere. In the 29th match minute, Guasduas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bautista Agulla to maneuver through the defense. Cantave's Gelmiro Espantoso got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Froylan Erce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Regis Coronado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Cantave's Gelmiro Espantoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Froylan Erce narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 45 minutes of play Cantave's Belmiro Güerga was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 46 played minutes Cantave got a freekick which was hit by Belmiro Güerga. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gelmiro Espantoso made a kick off. With a little luck, Cantave's Teodor Zurica got control of the ball when Joaquin Genova tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guasduas FC's Joaquin Genova got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Tito Arizmendez fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cantave's protests and gave Tito Arizmendez a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of Cantave:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Guasduas FC:s goal. Cantave's Teodor Zurica proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Cantave from getting a goal against them. If Bautista Agulla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Guasduas FC's zone, Gelmiro Espantoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Froylan Erce came out of the goal and Gelmiro Espantoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Froylan Erce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gelmiro Espantoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Teodor Zurica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bautista Agulla in the 84th minute of play. Teodor Zurica didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquin Genova went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The Guasduas FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Guasduas FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
