But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mercurio Estebanez couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Macerio Segurola in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Orkatz Lebron saved Macarizagua from getting behind. If Macerio Segurola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the game, Celio Mata was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atapirire's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Macarizagua the free kick. A collision led to Atapirire getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Celio Mata hit a great ball. Macarizagua's Nisio Boñal couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 27th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Atapirire. Mercurio Estebanez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Xalvador Saludes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 30 played minutes Macarizagua got a freekick which was hit by Xzavier Lallera. Xosepin Vede might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Orkatz Lebron. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Atapirire:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Macarizagua:s goal. The referee gave Macarizagua a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nisio Boñal, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atapirire's Xalvador Saludes. 1-0. Ferran Salces could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Xalvador Saludes made a huge save. After 48 played minutes Atapirire got a freekick which was hit by Marko Luey. Mercurio Estebanez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Macerio Segurola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 67th minute Ferran Salces shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xalvador Saludes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 70 minutes, Mercurio Estebanez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macarizagua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mercurio Estebanez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nisio Boñal made a great header on Macarizagua's corner, it was just that Atapirire's Xalvador Saludes managed to reach the ball for a save.
