Spectators: 6701 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1701, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Llorenc Varlett got the match started through his kick off. When Llorenc Varlett came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Palambra FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Llorenc Varlett couldn't finish the play. After having played for 5 minutes, Goncalve Valbuena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palambra FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Goncalve Valbuena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eskuin Grillo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonardo Ruedas's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Iztal Onis's late challenge caught a Carabobo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iztal Onis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th minute, Iztal Onis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Leonardo Ruedas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eskuin Grillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Ruedas in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Matei Ocaña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Palambra FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carabobo FC:s goal. Leonardo Ruedas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Eskuin Grillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaspar Arcas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carabobo FC's Gaspar Arcas got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Goncalve Valbuena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Leonardo Ruedas made the kick off in the second half. Eskuin Grillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Ruedas in the 56th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Leonardo Ruedas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Palambra FC's Eskuin Grillo. Eskuin Grillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 64th minute, Aristides Pedrueza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jago Sastre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Llorenc Varlett's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. 75 minutes into the game, Matei Ocaña was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palambra FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carabobo FC the free kick. A collision led to Palambra FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Matei Ocaña hit a great ball. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palambra FC's goalkeeper Eskuin Grillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eskuin Grillo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonardo Ruedas went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Jago Sastre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Llorenc Varlett in the 85th minute of play. Llorenc Varlett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jago Sastre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Goncalve Valbuena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jago Sastre having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Goncalve Valbuena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palambra FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Goncalve Valbuena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jago Sastre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Carabobo FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
