Arauca FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurin Ozollo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luis Saez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maurin Ozollo was the one to do the kick off. Maurin Ozollo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Luis Saez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 57th minute Boniel Munarriz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Llorian Urreta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maurin Ozollo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Saez having to interfere. Juan Maiz charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Maurin Ozollo had several of the Cuaderales FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 86 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-3 score and a disappointed Luis Saez as he didn't even see the shot coming. 91 minutes into the match, Arauca FC's Txomin Henao sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luis Saez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Arauca FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
