Serafin Fontoya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute Birila Tejeria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cordaro Falco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonso Zabalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignazio Moixi in the 11th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's zone, Ignazio Moixi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Zabalo came out of the goal and Ignazio Moixi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute, Percy Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manni Marsol in the 22nd minute of play forced Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's goalkeeper Afonso Zabalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonso Zabalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignazio Moixi in the 23rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Serafin Fontoya kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cordaro Falco. That made the score 1-0 in the 28 minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Ignazio Moixi made a precise shot to the right of Afonso Zabalo. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 35th minute, Frans Antezana made a precise shot to the right of Cordaro Falco. Montanita's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serafin Fontoya in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cordaro Falco saved Montanita from getting behind. Serafin Fontoya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cordaro Falco having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Montanita's goal looked a bit too open when Percy Freitas came free, but Cordaro Falco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's goal looked a bit too open when Ignazio Moixi came free, but Afonso Zabalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Serafin Fontoya to make the kick off. Frans Antezana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Cordaro Falco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Serafin Fontoya sped through Montanita's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cordaro Falco. In the 58th minute, Frans Antezana made a precise shot to the right of Cordaro Falco. Montanita's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. A collision led to Montanita getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Aznaro Zugarrondo hit a great ball. If Serafin Fontoya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Montanita's zone, Birila Tejeria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cordaro Falco came out of the goal and Birila Tejeria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute, Benito Sotorrio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 71 played minutes Montanita got a freekick which was hit by Hector-Luis Estua. After having played for 74 minutes, Frans Antezana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frans Antezana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cordaro Falco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frans Antezana's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara made a substitution. Gaur Preciado replaced Benito Sotorrio. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Afonso Zabalo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Imperio Catatumbo de Lara from getting a goal against them. Afonso Zabalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manni Marsol in the 93rd minute of play. There was no doubt that Imperio Catatumbo de Lara were the better team. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
