Quirze Onez hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Ongile Laboy might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gartxot Abouza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ongile Laboy ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 10 minutes, Guter Bergas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Excalibur's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guter Bergas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Txaran Padriña made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Mario Linares sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th minute, Marsillalita FC's Justino Larreta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. With a little luck, Excalibur's Txaran Padriña got control of the ball when Cheche Bujan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ongile Laboy charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ongile Laboy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Excalibur's Fulgencio Peñalba got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 28 minutes into the match, Ongile Laboy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gartxot Abouza. Marsillalita FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ongile Laboy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Johnnie Watson put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Gartxot Abouza. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnnie Watson in the 39th minute of play forced Marsillalita FC's goalkeeper Gartxot Abouza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luken Sabon charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luken Sabon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Marsillalita FC's Luken Sabon got a free kick in the 41st minute. When Johnnie Watson came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Excalibur fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johnnie Watson couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Marsillalita FC booed when Excalibur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnnie Watson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ezkerra Ursua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Gartxot Abouza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Tonete Villasinda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute Mario Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Txaran Padriña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Johnnie Watson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gartxot Abouza was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. If Johnnie Watson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute Cheche Bujan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Txaran Padriña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cheche Bujan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Txaran Padriña having to interfere. Johnnie Watsons short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Gartxot Abouza to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 1-5 became the score in the 89th minute when Johnnie Watson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Johnnie Watson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gartxot Abouza having to make a save. Mario Linares hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
