The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Clavellina booed when Borregos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eufrasio Lapenya didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Tohias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Feyto, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Marcos Tohias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xicu Sotillo in the 20th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zacarias Feyto in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos Tohias saved Borregos FC from getting behind. 31 minutes into the match, Borregos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zacarias Feyto came free, but Marcos Tohias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Borregos FC's Theobald Lampez got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute, Xicu Sotillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clavellina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 43rd minute, Rosio Pintado fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Millrick Leira, passed just outside the right post. Xicu Sotillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Marcos Tohias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eguen Sara made a kick off. The referee felt a red card was in order, 53 minutes into the game, when Nataniel Agraña put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Borregos FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! In the 56th minute there was a penalty for Clavellina. Eufemio Riega stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marcos Tohias. 1-2. Xicu Sotillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Marcos Tohias made a huge save. With a little luck, Borregos FC's Marcos Tohias got control of the ball when Xicu Sotillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 88th match minute, Borregos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eufrasio Lapenya to maneuver through the defense. Xicu Sotillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute of the match Clavellina got a corner. Borregos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eufemio Riega ran over to the corner to take the kick. Vitor Briones's late challenge caught a Clavellina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vitor Briones helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Clavellina booed when Borregos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitor Briones didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Clavellina players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
