With his leg Frutos Vidales managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Pelicano's Ernesto Melgarejo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Ernesto Melgarejo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pelicano's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Melgarejo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Caitano Gene was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eyague Pala got free with Cruz Oyaga in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60thth minute of the game Caitano Gene who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gamerota FC's Frutos Vidales was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Caitano Gene had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the game, Ulises Mascire recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cruz Oyaga. Ulises Mascire showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. The supporters of Gamerota FC booed when Pelicano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvanito Lezcano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Ulises Mascire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frutos Vidales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caitano Gene in the 86th minute of play. Caitano Gene struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Frutos Vidales didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pelicano. When Ernesto Melgarejo came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Pelicano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Melgarejo couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gamerota FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
