Pablo Camacho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tano Mendaza. Unión Lara F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Llanitos FC's Gabriel Alfeiran in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Rivero couldn't finish the play. Gabriel Alfeiran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tano Mendaza having to interfere. Madaleno Cerrajero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Justino Carballo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Llanitos FC's Lehior Tapia got a free kick in the 19th minute. If Humberto Rivero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Llanitos FC's Justino Carballo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Llanitos FC from getting a goal against them. Madaleno Cerrajero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Carballo having to interfere. Tano Mendaza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the game, one of Unión Lara F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Quinito Chicarro shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Gabriel Alfeiran made the kick off in the second half. Unión Lara F.C.'s Madaleno Cerrajero managed to work through Llanitos FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Madaleno Cerrajero dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Tome Urguia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unión Lara F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Tome Urguia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justino Carballo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute Tome Urguia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Carballo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Rivero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tano Mendaza having to interfere. In the 64thth minute of the game Madaleno Cerrajero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Llanitos FC's Justino Carballo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 68th minute, Zernin Llanes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Madaleno Cerrajero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 74 minutes, Humberto Rivero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Llanitos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humberto Rivero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Llanitos FC's Gabriel Alfeiran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tano Mendaza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 79 minutes, Lehior Tapia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Llanitos FC and the Unión Lara F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes Llanitos FC got a freekick which was hit by Lehior Tapia. Llanitos FC's Justino Carballo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tome Urguia in the 82nd minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
