In the 23rd minute Humberto Rivero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cirilo Pelaci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ferrando Plaza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Guanta's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Alfeiran came free, but Cirilo Pelaci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Nabar Nao fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guanta's protests and gave Nabar Nao a yellow card for diving instead.
