Rios Llarena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ipar Bayona in the 8th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ekhi Sauca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Humberto Sandianes was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Ipar Bayona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th match minute, Sute FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvino Bengochea to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, Metaleros's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Rebolleda came free, but Humberto Sandianes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Leonel Rebolleda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sute FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Juan Lassa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Rios Llarena skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Leonel Rebolleda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonel Rebolleda scored 0-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Humberto Sandianes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Leonel Rebolleda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ekhi Sauca in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Humberto Sandianes saved Metaleros from getting behind. Leonel Rebolleda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonel Rebolleda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Humberto Sandianes having to make a save. After the first half Sute FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Humberto Sandianes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ekhi Sauca's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ekhi Sauca got free with Humberto Sandianes in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 66 minutes, Ekhi Sauca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sute FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ekhi Sauca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leonel Rebolleda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Juan Lassa came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Metaleros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Lassa couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ekhi Sauca in the 82nd minute of play forced Metaleros's goalkeeper Humberto Sandianes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Metaleros's goalkeeper Humberto Sandianes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Humberto Sandianes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ekhi Sauca in the 86th minute of play. Ekhi Sauca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Humberto Sandianes having to make a save. Sute FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
