Buinton Caubilla showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Albino Laincera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Pasqual Monje tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pasqual Monje took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niceto Suarez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xavieon Marin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvarez Reve having to interfere. The supporters of Atlético Baruta booed when lara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albino Laincera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atlético Baruta's Llorenc Yugueros got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in lara FC's zone, Xavieon Marin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvarez Reve came out of the goal and Xavieon Marin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pasqual Monje made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albino Laincera in the 41st minute of play. Buinton Caubilla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Pasqual Monje made a huge save. Pasqual Monje showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aritza Brizuela, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Llorenc Yugueros to make the kick off. Aritza Brizuela's late challenge caught a Atlético Baruta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aritza Brizuela helped the player get up and apologised. In the 51st minute, Aritza Brizuela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in lara FC's zone, Llorenc Yugueros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvarez Reve came out of the goal and Llorenc Yugueros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonardo Colombres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvarez Reve having to interfere. Llorenc Yugueros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arlo Gavarnet struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Alvarez Reve didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Baruta.
