After having played for 5 minutes, Rigoberto Arieta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sport Club Capitan Sully's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rigoberto Arieta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute, Gaueko Madama got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Uzuri Munibe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 25th match minute, Stars F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costante Sanjuan to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Sport Club Capitan Sully's Nabar Coro tried to score from far away in the 26th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Gaueko Madama hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Jacobo Navaridas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigoberto Arieta, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Zayvion Ranero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronaldo Ayerza kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Ralondo Galdamiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Navaridas having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Stars F.C.'s goalkeeper Jacobo Navaridas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Loren Laranga. Rigoberto Arieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Navaridas having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Stars F.C.'s zone, Rigoberto Arieta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Navaridas came out of the goal and Rigoberto Arieta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Rigoberto Arieta sped through Stars F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jacobo Navaridas. If Ralondo Galdamiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rigoberto Arieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Navaridas having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Uzuri Munibe in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Virgilio Peralves saved Sport Club Capitan Sully from getting behind. Ralondo Galdamiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgilio Peralves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaueko Madama in the 65th minute. Gaueko Madama sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Loren Laranga fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sport Club Capitan Sully's protests and gave Loren Laranga a yellow card for diving instead. After 72 played minutes Sport Club Capitan Sully got a freekick which was hit by Loren Laranga. Virgilio Peralves made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Gaueko Madama sent off a good shot on target. Gaueko Madama recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute Rigoberto Arieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Navaridas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaueko Madama fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Peralves having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Gaueko Madama had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Virgilio Peralves. Sport Club Capitan Sully's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaueko Madama was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Gaueko Madama came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Stars F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaueko Madama couldn't finish the play.
