Fero Jorge kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Endira Viñas in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Markel Caño saved Deportivo Lara from getting behind. William Alas might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Markel Caño. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. William Alas ran back to his position shaking his head. 38 minutes into the match, Prevencion FC's William Alas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Markel Caño narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Saturnino Jaraba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robustiano Piedra showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Deportivo Lara's Markel Caño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Endira Viñas in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
