Spectators: 6910 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1758, VIP seats: 152) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Esquipula Sanles made the kick off which started today's match. Corozalito FC's Servando Llanos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 6th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sicua FC. Esquipula Sanles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Corozalito FC fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Corozalito FC's Esquipula Sanles looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Goito Elizalde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Borjas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jesus Torrienta struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Goito Elizalde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sicua FC. Lico Helguero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacobo Iraegui in the 30th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Sicua FC's goal looked a bit too open when Esquipula Sanles came free, but Lico Helguero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esquipula Sanles scored 0-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lico Helguero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 39 minutes, Matei Lagunilla mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sicua FC and the Corozalito FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 39 played minutes Sicua FC got a freekick which was hit by Matei Lagunilla. After recieving a nice pass, Corozalito FC's Servando Llanos tried to score from far away in the 40th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute Jacobo Iraegui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lico Helguero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Esquipula Sanles in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lico Helguero saved Sicua FC from getting behind. After the first half Corozalito FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernando Borjas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Fernando Borjas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Goito Elizalde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jacobo Iraegui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacobo Iraegui's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Lico Helguero skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 78 minutes, Jacobo Iraegui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corozalito FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacobo Iraegui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Esquipula Sanles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Lico Helguero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacobo Iraegui might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lico Helguero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacobo Iraegui ran back to his position shaking his head. Sicua FC's Lico Helguero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Sicua FC from getting a goal against them. The Sicua FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Corozalito FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
