Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Picapica's Corderro Pedriza started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rioja Fortea in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Icazate prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fens FC's Crispo Ibarlucea got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Fens FC's zone, Corderro Pedriza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zacarias Agustin came out of the goal and Corderro Pedriza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 13 minutes into the game, Picapica's Rami Lupidana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zacarias Agustin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Samuel Icazate made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Crispo Ibarlucea in the 18th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Corderro Pedriza in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zacarias Agustin saved Fens FC from getting behind. In the 23rd minute, Rioja Fortea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Samuel Icazate was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Txeru Emperanza hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Fens FC's zone, Beti Oca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zacarias Agustin came out of the goal and Beti Oca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Crispo Ibarlucea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fens FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Crispo Ibarlucea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Icazate breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zacarias Agustin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corderro Pedriza in the 37th minute of the match. Rioja Fortea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Samuel Icazate tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 43 minutes into the game, when Gaspar Lavin put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Picapica fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Fens FC a penalty, 45 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Javiero Represa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Picapica's Samuel Icazate. 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Crispo Ibarlucea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Rami Lupidana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Agustin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beti Oca struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Zacarias Agustin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Picapica. After 64 played minutes Picapica got a freekick which was hit by Txeru Emperanza. Javiero Represa, 65 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 69th minute Txeru Emperanza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Agustin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rami Lupidana in the 71st minute of play forced Fens FC's goalkeeper Zacarias Agustin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xabel Loinaz charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xabel Loinaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Fens FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Xabel Loinaz hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, Javiero Represa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute of the match Gerardo Barquin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zacarias Agustin skillfully saved the ball. If Rioja Fortea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Txeru Emperanza kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. When Rami Lupidana came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Picapica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rami Lupidana couldn't finish the play. Txeru Emperanza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rami Lupidana took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zacarias Agustin. Zacarias Agustin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Despite being the better team, Picapica failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
