When Eron Sancibrao came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Laurel FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eron Sancibrao couldn't finish the play. Emanuel Riera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joselito Aldaeta in the 21st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joselito Aldaeta in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Riera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 27th play minutes Nestor Losado shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Moise Beguellina and just under the crossbar into goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xose Bayllo during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Emanuel Riera didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Laurel FC's Joselito Aldaeta shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. The supporters of Laurel FC booed when UA Carabobo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Lasa didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Joselito Aldaeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joselito Aldaeta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Riera having to interfere. Joselito Aldaeta's late challenge caught a UA Carabobo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joselito Aldaeta helped the player get up and apologised. Joselito Aldaeta kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joselito Aldaeta to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Joselito Aldaeta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laurel FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joselito Aldaeta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Riera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Maule Esquivel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joselito Aldaeta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Riera having to interfere. Emanuel Riera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joselito Aldaeta's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 72nd match minute, UA Carabobo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xose Bayllo to maneuver through the defense. If Joselito Aldaeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute Joselito Aldaeta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Riera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Laurel FC's Joselito Aldaeta in the 84th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Emanuel Riera was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for UA Carabobo through an amazing save. After having played for 85 minutes, Eron Sancibrao managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laurel FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eron Sancibrao was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the game, Joselito Aldaeta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emanuel Riera. Joselito Aldaeta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Joselito Aldaeta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Emanuel Riera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Opilano Llorengoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Moise Beguellina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Laurel FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than UA Carabobo.
