Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gervasio Rubinos in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sol Orsini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 6th minute, Hipolito Maria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Xusto Garaizabal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tablerito's supporters rose to their feet, but Xusto Garaizabal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sol Orsini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 16 played minutes, Arenota FC's Adalberto Encina shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bitxintxo Rial came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Arenota FC reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Arenota FC's zone, Xusto Garaizabal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sol Orsini came out of the goal and Xusto Garaizabal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 19 minutes, Xusto Garaizabal made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Arenota FC's Sol Orsini tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Xusto Garaizabal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaunti Louzara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute Xusto Garaizabal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sol Orsini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Xusto Garaizabal came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Tablerito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xusto Garaizabal couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Arenota FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Adalberto Encina hit a great ball. In the 39thth minute of the game Xusto Garaizabal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arenota FC's Sol Orsini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Xusto Garaizabal came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Tablerito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xusto Garaizabal couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 51 minutes, Adriano Sayago mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arenota FC and the Tablerito players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adriano Sayago hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Xusto Garaizabal in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sol Orsini, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 57th minute Hipolito Maria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bitxintxo Rial saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 58 played minutes Arenota FC got a freekick which was hit by Emenon Basaran. Xusto Garaizabal took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sol Orsini. Sol Orsini dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Bitxintxo Rial made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emenon Basaran in the 63rd minute of play. A collision led to Tablerito getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Gervasio Rubinos hit a great ball. If Gervasio Rubinos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Xusto Garaizabal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Sol Orsini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gervasio Rubinos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arenota FC's Sol Orsini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xusto Garaizabal in the 77th minute of play. Jaunti Louzara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gervasio Rubinos struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Sol Orsini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tablerito. After some careless play in the Arenota FC defense, Xusto Garaizabal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sol Orsini. The Arenota FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sol Orsini should have stopped the shot. Tablerito played a much better game than Arenota FC and deserved their victory. The Arenota FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
