Barinas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivan Regules was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Hurko Argüello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Regules in the 10th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the game, Barinas's Llorienzo Vime nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Txaran Holguin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Hurko Argüello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Regules, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ignazio Nueva kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tabor Quincoces in the 23rd minute of play forced Barinas's goalkeeper Hurko Argüello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jose Burgoa made in the 25th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Mitxaut Villabel however managed to control. Txaran Holguin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Llorienzo Vime in the 27th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Llorienzo Vime managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barinas's supporters rose to their feet, but Llorienzo Vime was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Txaran Holguin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hurko Argüello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pau Parada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivan Regules's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hurko Argüello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. If Llorienzo Vime had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Regules in the 40th minute of play forced Barinas's goalkeeper Hurko Argüello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hurko Argüello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tabor Quincoces in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Llorienzo Vime notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Mitimbus's Txaran Holguin. Txaran Holguin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Barinas booed when Mitimbus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Burgoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Llorienzo Vime was the one to do the kick off. Hurko Argüello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Regules in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd play minute Ivan Regules came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Hurko Argüello. 2-2. Ivan Regules could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Hurko Argüello made a huge save. Ivan Regules's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hurko Argüello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. When Marcelo Vilas fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barinas's protests and gave Marcelo Vilas a yellow card for diving instead. After 62 played minutes Barinas got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Vilas. After 69 played minutes Mitimbus got a freekick which was hit by Teyo Palenzuela. Barinas's attentive Olayo Marentos managed to snatch the ball when Jose Burgoa made a throw-in in the 71st minute of the game. Hurko Argüello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tabor Quincoces, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the game, Barinas's Llorienzo Vime nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Barinas's Hurko Argüello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tabor Quincoces in the 78th minute of play. Jose Burgoa made in the 79th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Tabor Quincoces however managed to control. Arotza Villate might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Txaran Holguin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arotza Villate ran back to his position shaking his head. Barinas's Hurko Argüello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tabor Quincoces in the 86th minute of play. Hurko Argüello came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Mitimbus's Ivan Regules. But to his dismay, Ivan Regules quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Barinas players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
