When Curcio Casanande came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Curcio Casanande couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the match, Marco Azcunaga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Igor Burgoa. Teicupa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marco Azcunaga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Teicupa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidor Nuevo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Birila Boñar did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Gilen Afraga 28 minutes into the match. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Venezuela's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
