Dacio Natal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 17 minutes into the match, barcachicho's goal looked a bit too open when Ezkerra Oliva came free, but Rioja Zalaeta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ezkerra Oliva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, barcachicho's goal looked a bit too open when Faro Fito came free, but Rioja Zalaeta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in barcachicho's zone, Ezkerra Oliva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rioja Zalaeta came out of the goal and Ezkerra Oliva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Faro Fito came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Caricare FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faro Fito couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Caricare FC booed when barcachicho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beturian Lluba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caricare FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Americo Castorena in the 50th minute. Caricare FC's Americo Castorena was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rioja Zalaeta in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Rioja Zalaeta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Faro Fito in the 54th minute. After 61 played minutes barcachicho got a freekick which was hit by Xorxe Arnaiz. Faro Fito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 70 minutes, Faro Fito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caricare FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Faro Fito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ezkerra Oliva struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Rioja Zalaeta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caricare FC. After a defensive mix-up in barcachicho's zone, Ezkerra Oliva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rioja Zalaeta came out of the goal and Ezkerra Oliva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Caricare FC's Ezkerra Oliva slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rioja Zalaeta. That made the score 0-2 after 84 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in barcachicho's zone, Ezkerra Oliva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rioja Zalaeta came out of the goal and Ezkerra Oliva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caricare FC played a much better game than barcachicho and deserved their victory. The barcachicho players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
