Spectators: 6745 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1745, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tonete Sabugo kicked off to start the match. Kepa Vaquerizo came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sumbatela FC's Remicio Calles. But to his dismay, Remicio Calles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With 12 minutes on the clock, Gaitan Castells commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sumbatela FC! The goalkeeper, Saverio Carrillo, was totally fooled by Montesdeoca's Christiano Llanos, who 14 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Remicio Calles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sumbatela FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Remicio Calles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kepa Vaquerizo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kepa Vaquerizo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Tecla in the 25th minute of play. Remicio Calles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Montesdeoca getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Rigoberto Osorio hit a great ball. After 29 played minutes, Sumbatela FC's Denis Viya shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kepa Vaquerizo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sumbatela FC reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ximeno Orden during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Montesdeoca getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ximeno Orden hit a great ball. When Remicio Calles came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Sumbatela FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remicio Calles couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the match, Epifanio Jubera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kepa Vaquerizo. Montesdeoca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Epifanio Jubera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Remicio Calles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Epifanio Jubera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sumbatela FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Epifanio Jubera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kepa Vaquerizo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Remicio Calles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kepa Vaquerizo having to interfere. The Montesdeoca players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sumbatela FC were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Remicio Calles was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Remicio Calles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sumbatela FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remicio Calles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60th minute, Remicio Calles fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kepa Vaquerizo, passed just outside the right post. If Epifanio Jubera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Remicio Calles struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Kepa Vaquerizo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sumbatela FC. A collision led to Montesdeoca getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Lauaxeta Hermosa hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, Remicio Calles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Montesdeoca's Kepa Vaquerizo got control of the ball when Gartzen Davalos tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 69 played minutes Montesdeoca got a freekick which was hit by Bastia Coro. If Remicio Calles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Montesdeoca's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Remicio Calles fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Kepa Vaquerizo made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Remicio Calles sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute, Remicio Calles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kepa Vaquerizo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remicio Calles in the 96th minute. Sumbatela FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
