When Dodorol Caseres fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caracas FCC's protests and gave Dodorol Caseres a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Caracas FCC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Dodorol Caseres hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Caracas FCC's zone, Jeremias Oteo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Che Serradell came out of the goal and Jeremias Oteo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Che Serradell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Oteo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caracas FCC's Che Serradell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Oteo in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, one of Taruma:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Taruma. The supporters of Caracas FCC booed when Taruma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tebaldo Gibaja didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Taruma's goal looked a bit too open when Qwinton Lanis came free, but Socorro Caller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Taruma's goalkeeper Socorro Caller had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tancredo Guedeja. The audience was convinced that Qwinton Lanis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Socorro Caller was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. After 75 played minutes Caracas FCC got a freekick which was hit by Dodorol Caseres.
